Hi I'm Corne, an experienced graphic designer & an emerging artist. I've been drawing and painting all my life but started exploring a more commercial approach in 2016. I've started freelance design work and taking on more commissions after I've lost my job due to covid in 2020. I am a multi-disciplined artist/designer. My art is a manifestation of my journey and my vision of the world. While the organic aesthetics of mother nature are the main influence of my work, I also draw a lot of inspiration from Pop Culture, African Culture and Wildlife.

I don't find it easy showing off my work, and always grateful and humbled when someone compliments my work. No matter the medium or subject matter, traditional art or digital art, my art is an expression of what I believe and what I experience in my life. Some of my pieces might be "dark & edgy", but I believe there is a balance in everything around me.

Drawing and sketching with black pen forms the basis of most of my art. I love line work and to add intricate detail in my pieces. No matter the medium graphite, charcoal, pastel, watercolor, inks, acrylics and digital painting, I always find myself pushing harder and enjoying every minute. My work takes dedication and time but is well worth it at the end. I encourage you to explore my work as I believe it speaks substantially more than these words!

As a seasoned graphic designer for the last 20 years, I’ve generated countless creative concepts that followed through to production. Maintained brand identity across multiple brands, and have designed everything from business cards, logos, corporate identities, billboards to social media ads, web ads, magazine ads, printed collateral, signage, apparel, brochures, web assets, displays, Powerpoint presentations, photo manipulation and retouching, painting, illustration drawing and more.
